Classes, practice, competition, and more

Like 60 percent of students on Baker’s Baldwin City campus, sophomore Amy Kamtio balances varsity athletics with academics. She also manages a full slate of extracurricular activities.

Kamtio is a member of the track and field team, participating in high jump and sprints. The team begins preseason training in the fall and competes through the winter indoor season and spring outdoor season.

A human biology major, Kamtio’s post-Baker goals are medical school and then a career in pediatrics. In addition to her classwork, she is the president of Baker Serves, a community service organization. She is a member of Tri Delta and serves as the vice president of recruitment for the Panhellenic Council. You can also find her leading tours for prospective students as a University Admissions Assistant.
